The Cross Hatch test is widely used in various forms to assess adhesion of paint coatings. This cutter has advantages over single cutting blades for both safety and simplicity in use, available with 1, 2 or 3mm spaces between cutting edges.
Complies with BS 3900 E6, ASTM D 3359, BS/DIN EN ISO 2409.
This method is used for determining the parallel groove paint adhesion of one or many layers on a substrate, generally a metal panel. Thiss Cross-Cut Tester has one cutting edge. The Cross Cut blades are made of hardened steel alloy and are designed for retaining a sharp cutting edge to reduce the frequency of blade replacement.    |
